I've been playing STTNG:A Final Unity and here are a few comments by both
me and my housemate who also plays it. First, the interface is really
slick, the graphics are clean, and the voice-overs are really cool.
Especially Worf, who makes very comical comments from time to time.
The combat is neat, until you try it yourself and discover just how
complicated it is. The cut scenes are in a different resolution and
appear like they were done using 3D Studio. The characters in those seens
look like puppets but the scenes on the whole are cool. The adventures
are very similiar to Star Terk 25th Anniversary adventures with various
graphical riddles, conversations, etc. The only real improvement there
was having your choice of away team members. The story is a little
too linear for my taste, and the adventures are little bit silly and
simplistic at times. I felt like I was merely watching a pre-made movie.
All in all, a descent game which in my book can't really be played more
than once, twice at the utmost. When I bought it, the retail price was
around $69.95 which was a little too steep for me, hopefully it has come
down. Anyway, hope this helps...

Hi!

I have found this to be an extremely enjoyable game, despite all
the negative posts about it. Yes, it is fairly simple, but very well
done. I have a P90, 16m of RAM, a SB16, and a GUS Ace wavetable card,
and the game has run pretty flawlessly on my Mitsumi quad-speed drive.
It has locked up a couple of times, but not nearly enough to be even
remotely annoying. Enjoy!!

The game's great, good graphic, good cut scene, good sounds/voices, most
important of all great experience.

As a Trekkie, I'm biased, but the game IS good. The puzzles are just
hard enough to make you think (not bad enough that you'll just stop
playing), but like every adventure game. The replay value is zip. The
experience is what makes this game great.

Overall, I'd say I enjoyed it for the most part (space combat kinda sucks
but it wasn't meant to be a sim, either). I though it was too short.
Well, more like I was able to finish it too quickly. I wasn't totally
satisfied, but I think if you like Trek, and you like about a medium
adventure game, it's pretty good.

An extremely cool game! I loved it. My only problem is that I finished
it in 5 days. (Of a couple those days were 15 hour days...) ^_^;;;

I could have survived without THAT experience!

My comment: JUST SAY NO! DON'T BUY THIS GAME!

PC Gamer this month reviews it, and says if you are a trekie
its is definitely worth checking out.

Otherwise it is a good game but not a must have.

Rate 74% .
