some thoughts about nazism and games

1) Many role and FPS games use nazi-like or nazi symbolism: power, magic,
blood&honor, aggresive eagles, skulls, runes and signs. In (more or less)
historical games this doesn't matter. (BTW, i don't understand a f**k why in
Germany and elsewhere they have troubles with Mortyr, where you have to kill
the nazis).
2) But i see a disgusting influence from those games that make the gamer
identify him/herself with those stupid simbolsim. That's creating sympathy
for very unsympathic fantasies.
3) Specially, i don't like at all that the guys of Unreal have chosen such a
svastika-like logo for Tournament.
3 bis) I just remember Age of Empires, where some kinda priests had a role,
which Hitler (and the Popes) would have loved (dominate by the power of
words). Unbelievable, Bil Gates the Atheist sells it!
4) Considering that the *real* heroes that won the WWII and knew the enemy
are getting very old, and considering the lack of historical
education/interest and evaluation of the youngest generation, the number of
people that find the SS stuff, etc., fancy could increase, right?

I think we should email those game companies and tell them to put more
creativity in their games and to stop repeating old, disgusting fascist
symbols!
