I know that online gaming in this NG isn't as popular as it is everywhere else, but it occurred to me this question is more for anyone interested in streaming their games. For those that do stream their games, or have an interest in doing so (either of those conditions excludes me), why would you be bothered by "stream sniping" (someone watching your live stream and using it to gain the upper hand on you in an online game)? If bothered by other people seeing your shit, why share your shit with the world to begin with? Personally I would never stream in any online game that I wanted to win or perform well at anyway, because even though I have a fiber connection, more network packets just means more potential up latency, even if you can't "feel" it, its there. But I sure as hell wouldn't leave a high end car in the middle of a ghetto with the keys in and the engine running while I went somewhere for a couple of hours, then complain when its not where I left it. This seems like the same thing to me. Am I missing something or is the solution as easy as just not streaming in the first place?
