I must be one of the first out here to have actually gone out and purchased The Need for Speed CD FULL version. Here is my review : The movie segments are outstanding, and reminiscent of a TV show or commercial. The graphics are excellent, also. I am running a Pentium 60 w/ a quad speed, and 24 megs of RAM. A Pentium 90+ is recommended, but I did run this game FULL detail, with 16-bit sound with NO problems! The game IS fun, and pleasing to look at. But it is missing a few features : There should be a time of day/weather condition selection, Though the accident scenes are outstanding, there is never any lasting damage to your car. VERY unrealistic, and there is no toggle control for damage/no damage. It is just NO DAMAGE! The control is awful. I am using Gravis gamepads (Nintendo-like). Maybe that could be the culprit, but it is rather difficult to drive. The game is designed by Road&Track, and I think one of its goals is to present 8 of the hottest cars out there is a fun/simulation way. They did accomplish this, but there are still a few voids to be filled... If you just have the pirated version, which I heard there were problems and many limitations with, and you enjoy it, by all means spend the $40 for the full version. jgi...@pb.net
