Wing Commander III - Skipper Missle!

Hi Everyone,

I'm stuck on a mission on the second disk of WC3.  It's the one after the
Victory has been hiding in the Nebula and you're supposed to escort the Victory
back to Confed space.  Well, the third combat sequence has somebody (I haven't
figure out who) firing a "skipper" missle at the Victory.  I've tried to fight
off the fighters and shoot down the skipper missle.  I've tried taking out the
corvette as fast a possible so he's not within range of the Victory, in case
he's the one who fires the missle.  I've played the scenario about 15 times and
every time the skipper hits.  I'm getting pretty desperate at this point!
Anyone out there been there, done that?
