Check the price of PC graphics accelerators. This is not a card just to run games designed for another system that can do no more. It also functions as a Windows accelerator, and the 3D can accelerate your 3D modelling programs in Windows as well. The price is around the same as current fast Windows 2D accelerators, and people buy those quite frequently. Hell, a Mach64 here in Toronto costs as much as a Playstation, and that just accelerateds Windows GUI and future 2D games. That being said, Creative does have a knack for over-pricing average products. But this is only ONE entry into the race. There will be MANY products, one of which is Diamonds Edge.
