I think that to a degree the internet has taken some of the "magic" away
from the gaming industry. I remember before i had the internet the
excitement of bringing a game home and the fun in discovering everything
about it (yes even the duds to a degree) these days i seem to know
everything about a game before i get it home from the store. whilst it may
mean the average title i take home is of a higher quality i lose the fun
factor to a degree. Also the only people you ever argued with about how to
play a game, what games were best were your mates so there was no
flaming/trolling and all the rest of the internet baggage.

On the PC console front - i've got a PC and have owned various consoles over
the years (my latest being the PS2), and whilst it makes me chuckle to see
the Xbox struggle, i have no doubt that i will end up owning it. I see
consoles and PCs as completely different gaming experiences and long may
they co-exist
