Who cares? I don't. I think that a majority of the gaming public just
like to complain about everything because they have no lives. Has there
ever been a game released that someone hasn't pissed and moaned about
because "there is no xxxxxx feature?" Sorry, but that's pretty damn lame
that you think the game sucks because there is no co-op play. The game
has many other redeeming qualities. The control is not as bad as everyone
says, I believe that is has been improved somewhat in the actual retail
version of the game. The graphics and sound effects are beautiful. I love
that nasty "splitch" sound it makes when you hack into an enemy with a
battle age. And the chunks of meat that fly and splatter on the walls when
you slice into a bad guy is great. The introduction sequence is very well
done, except for the bit of jerkiness 1/2 way through. I have a
quad-speed CD and P133 and the intro is still slightly jerky. But that
is a minor complaint. The rest of the game is great, and a lot of fun.

DUH! Use a joystick. And I don't think this game is a Doom clone, I wish
people would stop saying this, as it has some feautres and additions that
make it stand apart from Doom, most of which I have already mentioned
(gothic, close-range weapons, role-playing elements, etc etc). Out of all
the "Doom Toos" that are out right now, I think Witchaven is the most
un-Doom-like of them all.
