Weath is created simply through things like one person trading something they don't want for something they do want with someone else who is doing the same thing. Both parties end up being richer because they now have something they value more than the thing they traded away. When someone invests money in a developing game they're giving up something of value and hoping to get something of greater value in return. So for example when an investor spends $250,000 on wages, renting an office and other expenses, they're hoping the result will be a game that will generate more than $250,000 in sales. If so then the game presumably creates wealth. The investor has more than the original $250,000 invested while the people who bought the game presumably got something they valued at least as much as what they spent. (Obviously they might end up hating the game and regretting purchasing it, but usually that's not the case.) If the game doesn't make $250,000 though wealth is destroyed. -- l/ // Ross Ridge -- The Great HTMU [oo][oo] rri...@csclub.uwaterloo.ca -()-/()/ http://www.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/~rridge/ db //
