For some of the older games you've listed the PC port is pretty bad,
and you'd be better playing on different emulated system. For example
the best version of Ultima V is the Commodore 128 version. The graphics
are slightly better than the PC version and you get SID sound instead
of PC speaker beeps. The Bard's Tale games and Dragon Age probably play
better on the Amiga for similar reasons.

Yah, by today's standards most games were pretty hardcore back then.
It makes it hard to play a lot of old games if you hadn't played them
back in the day. Having to learn a weird control scheme while trying
to figure out how to play the game well enough to progress can make it
very frustrating. Even back in the day I can think of a few games,
like Wizardry VII and Privateer, that I ran into a brick wall the first
time I played. It wasn't until I gave the game a second (or third) was
able to get anywhere in them. Still never finished a game of Privateer
to the end.

That's bigger than I would've guessed from the list you gave.
My collection of 50+ MS-DOS games is only about 5GB and that includes
a fair bit of duplicate installs.
