The Old Republic is the MMORPG, developed nominally by the same guys (Bioware) and sort-of maybe a distant sequel to the originals. The Jedi campaign had a number of nods to specific quests in the original KOTOR, which was fun. But dated and limiting as it was, the original KOTOR games are far better products if you prefer single-player and a strong story and characters. Also, "The Old Republic", being both an MMORPG and an EA game, isn't on Steam.
