Ho-ho-ho! You know, when I started this job of giving away games I didn't know it was gonna be so much work. I mean, every day at the crack of dawn down in the video-game mines digging out a new title, and then delivering it to all the good little boys 'n' girls of Usenet... oh, my aching back! Today's Game Is: Wizardry 8 ------------- I'll be honest; I never much cared for the Wizardry games; they always seemed too focused on the mechanics of the dungeon crawl at the expense of story and personality (which is why I quickly moved on to Ultima and the Gold Box games). But that was a matter of personal preference and I've never been one to deny that the Wizardry franchise was a well-made series that stayed true to its vision - one that appealed to many other players - and when was therefore glad to see its return with Wizardry 8. Bigger than ever, with modernized graphics and interface, it is as rewarding as it is unforgiving, an excellent return to form for this grand old franchise and one of the best pure dungeon crawls available. Platform: Windows PC Distributor: Steam Key: NIL2P-MMRBN-92YQC Now go and slay some giant rats! For Christmas! Ho-ho-ho!
