I would just like to point out that I haven't actually participated in this thread (until now), so your thanks were misdirected. I'm not giving 'em back though; they're mine now. Whomever they were directed at is just going to have to go thankless, muahahaha! ;-) >I was hoping that I could get Steam to simply point to where the games >are in Win7. I guess I will continue to play them in Win7. Problem is >now with the dual boot is that I lose my network connection now and >then. Having not read the thread or having any idea about what I'm talking about, nonetheless I will make a suggestion (I need to earn those misappropriated thanks, after all). I have no idea if it will work...but couldn't you load up OS #1, install Steam on drive F:\GAMES (or wherever, but not in the usual c:\program files\etc), install games as usual, then load up OS #2 and do the same thing to the same directory? The files should be exactly the same and that way both operating systems have the necessary pointers... (apologies if this has already been discussed; as indicated, I haven't read the thread. As I'd nothing useful to contribute - not knowing anything about the topic - I'd avoided it until PW accidentally summoned me by mentioning my nom de plume. But now that I'm here I can't help but spouting off. It's all PW's fault ;-)
