I've actually won a few PVP events! I think some of the people winning all the time must have some combination of wheel controller, manual shifting, better car for the particular race, better tuned car, better computer/network connection, be a better driver. I tried manual shifting myself, but couldn't get better times on a speed skill, I was doing a straight run, so not sure it would make any difference there, perhaps downshifting instead of braking would make a difference on twisty roads, I think a wheel controller would make more of a difference though as steering is pretty finicky with the stick. It'd probably cost me about $400-$500 with everything I'd need, I could skimp some and get it down to about $350 if I don't need a PS, but that's still money I just don't have right now, and I don't think any of that would improve The Crew for me except for textures, which I'm not all that excited about the eye candy usually, so going to have to put it off until that situation changes. Unfortunately windows started complaining my C: drive is about to fail, so I'm going to have to replace that. - Justisuar
