Every year there's pretty much one or two titles that I look forward to, but they usually have at least some multiplayer element, if not primarily a MP game. An example of this is Battlefield One -- already purchased. Mafia 3 is the first exclusively single player game in recent memory that I can really say I am really looking forward to. I can't remember the last time I even had that reaction to a single player game -- maybe Oblivion in 2006? Every time I watch a trailer for this game, I'm intrigued not only by the gameplay, but the storyline and setting. And for those who read anything I've ever written here, you know how rare that is, because I'm the antithesis of a cutscene / "tell me a story" kind of gamer.
