It's Bethesda, not Ubisoft. So no worries about using their UPlay software (which isn't as awful as some make it out, although I'd rank it worst of the "big four" digital clients (Steam, GOG, Origin, UPlay). > I think it was mainly done as an update for the XBox1 and PS4, but >they're also going to release it for the PC. They are updating the graphics, but indications are they still fall short of what a well-modded PC Skyrim can achieve. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the Doom 3 BFG edition, which actually made the game look worse on a PC... >I never liked the happy homemaker and foundry aspects of Skyrim, but >yep, I just bought Hearthfire for 5 bucks so I get the remastered >Skyrim. I really got the feeling it was more of a tech-demo for the "house-building" technology that would later feature more prominently in Fallout 4. Plus, it was riding the coat-tails of Minecraft and other games where you could build your own structures. It was sort of neat to build up your own home, and I liked having a more centralized place to store all my gear (the main game also let you buy your own homes, but they tended to be small and you had to enter the cities first, which was an extra annoying load-screen).
