Undeniable difference between viewing something even in just HD vs Bluray on a decent sized screen, and it greatly impacts the viewing experience because assuming reasonable eyesight you sometimes notice differences in actors portrayal of emotions. At 55" for my living room TV I doubt if I would notice the difference between 1080p and UHD at 15 or so feet away, but I have no trouble believing the difference would be jaw dropping with a screen of much larger size, or with a closer viewing distance.
