Stability of framerates are important. But, for example if you're
getting an solid 30fps, most likely what is happening is adaptation to
the frame rate. If you played that side by side with a game with an
unwavering 90fps, then went back to the 30fps, assuming it is a game
with a wide mouse movement heatmap (see my other post in thread about
this), you would certainly see the difference if your eyesight is
still good.

About framerates jumping all over, yes this can be a problem without
adaptive sync technology like Gsync, because for example if you're
playing at a buttery 120fps but you keep dropping to 100fps on a
monitor that's refreshing at 120hz, you've got tearing and stuttering
issues to contend with because of the disparity between frame
rendering and refresh rate (noticable in some games and not others).
That's the problem that Gsync/Freesync fixes.

So, once you go with an adaptive frame rate monitor, the game could
fluctuate constantly between 75fps and the upper monitor limit of
144fps (capped there because of the monitor 144hz limit), and you will
never know it because the Gsync board is keeping everything matched
up. Back to buttery smoothness :)

Perhaps but I'm no spring chicken and can confirm the difference is
like night and day :)
