As long as Rocksmith can recognize your notes when you tune, it will work. I watched a video of someone playing it with a MIDI piano. There are plenty of easy songs (and lessons) along with the dynamic difficulty which replaces chords with single notes until it detects you hitting them consistently, but its definitely not all beginner music. Plenty of Barre chorded songs and Eric Johnsons Cliffs Of Dover is in there (yikes!). If you're on the fence about it, I suggest snagging 2014 soon. A version called Remastered is coming out in October which will be a free upgrade if you already own it. The standard version is going to be gone and its replacement will be full price for a while. The PC version has a huge underground of custom DLC. Ubisoft doesn't support it, but they also haven't done anything to prevent it since the people in this community remove any custom material that becomes official DLC. www.customsforge.com Look in the CDLC Ignition area for a list. Its pretty mind-blowing. >> I'm still checking here to see whats up, so I can't say I've quit PC >> gaming but also don't feel like I've missed anything. I guess I might give it a chance when the price drops to 15 bucks or something. Archery was never my favorite thing in 3 or 4, but I did use it for a couple hundred hours in Skyrim. :-/ I do hate crafting. The Far Cry version was so tacked on that it never really bothered me. Basically just killing critters to make bigger ammo bags. Hah.
