Ho-ho-ho! 'Tis the season everybody! Let us all be merry and jolly and celebrate the winter solstice in our own particular mien! And to aid in our revelries, I'm starting the Second Annual c.s.i.p.g.a Christmas Give-away! Here's the thing: I buy lots of games. Sometimes I buy games I already own (usually because they are bundled with other games I don't already own). So rather than have them sit unused, I give them away. First I offer them to my family, then to my friends. Then to my co-workers, my casual acquaintances, to people who look familiar on the subway, strangers on the street, that smelly guy on the street corner always asking for change, to people who don't look familiar on the subway, to my mortal enemies, and to IRS agents... and if none of them want the game, I offer it to you lucky people here on comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.action: because that's just how much I care! ;-) Ho-ho-ho! These games are completely legitimate and complete. I will be posting a single URL or CD-key, one per day until I run out. It will be first-come, first-serve. These keys won't work if you already own the game (you'll get a message along the lines of "this game is already in your library"; you won't get a second copy), and even if it did work, you wouldn't be able to re-sell, gift or trade it. So if you already have the games, please don't try to claim it: leave it for somebody who doesn't have it. All I ask in return is that if you do get the game, post a reply here (a thank-you would be nice, but mostly I like to know the game has been claimed). Oh, and that you enjoy the game. Why do I do this? Well mostly because - Ho-Ho-Ho! - I like to spread the holiday cheer. Also, I hate to see good games go to waste. Also also, because I hate unused keys cluttering up my accounts. Also-to-the-third, I'd like to believe these sorts of give-aways will attract more people to Usenet. But, you know, mostly the holiday cheer thing. Ho-ho-ho! So Happy Holidays everybody. Here's hoping your Solstice Celebration is merry and filled with new video games!
