I wasn't really taken with cornball movement stuff like Kinect, but was very interested in TrackIR for simulations before finding it somewhat awkward. You have to sort of look away from the monitor to change your view, but it can't be so much that the monitor is no longer in view... It almost felt like something that'd give you wonky eyes after a while, lol. The natural motion tracking of the Oculus type stuff looks so cool to me, I was ready to order a Dev kit a couple times just to mess with it. Youtube videos and forums on the shortcomings of it made me wait. I know this technology has had false starts since the mid-90's, but it feels like the time is right, mainly thanks to smart phone screens pushing display technology way ahead of what anyone expected. I won't be buying any console implementation of this technology, but really excited about it for the PC.
