It makes sense because they've been at it longer than anybody. All gaming companies from the arcade era have fallen out of the market or off the planet -Atari, Bally, Neo Geo (the AES was mind blowing in its day) are gone and Sega is relegated to a software company in the home market. Only Nintendo has perservered. Now that everyone has a motion gimmick, Nintendo need launch hardware that isn't more than a generation behind Sony and Microsoft with every release.
