Maybe both the Bethesda ES and Fallout teams need to play The Witcher
3 to re-discover the essential components that make up a truly great
modern single-player action-RPG. Hint: consistent loving attention to
detail in the creation of an 'alternate world'. Not just the varied
scenery but the characters inhabiting it. Truly great story-telling,
scripting and voice-acting. Even apparently minor side-quests hide
fascinating surprises.

The clips from FO4 that I have viewed still have the trademark
Bethesda plastic-molded faces. And the mechanistic dialog choices
remind me of the four-way multiple-choice questions that still plague
US school students.... and a bunch of PC action games.. DX:HR, I'm
looking at you.... Sadly, Bethesda did not venture far from previous
formula in their latest Fallout creation.

Steam Satisfaction: 94% The Witcher 3
                                78% Fallout 4 ( I don't expect this
number to change much with time. The Witcher 3 numbers were always
above 90%, even before the bug fixes and the free DLC pack )

Seems as if Fallout 4 does not deviate much from the FNV pattern.
Shall put it and all DLC on my Xmas Sale 2016 list. Have plenty of
Fallout to revisit between now and then.
