There are at least three observations worth of making, here: A) These aren't "news" but "rumors". B) A "MMORPG set in the Elder Scrolls Universe" is not the same as "Skyrim successor", the way World of Warcraft was not Warcraft 3 successor. C) It is this kind of "tragedy chasing" that gives lifeblood to those moronic "op eds" who call the players upset by Mass Effect 3 ending "whiners". By whining about everything you simply lose steam when real tragedy strikes (AKA "Cry wolf").
