Just a note about Marathon & DF.. Hey guys, both are good games. I've played them both
and I like BOTH of them. Each game is different. Marathon's storyline is exceptional
IMHO. Marathon RULES in net play. (Yes, I have played Doom net play, it's OK, but just
isn't as good in many respects (IMHO) Dark Forces has GREAT graphics, a really fast
engine and a good story line. My major complaints with both games are:

Marathon: ARA modem play blows chunks.... :(
levels are too empty (need more stuff around... (tables, chairs, control panels... etc (it
is a spaceship!) The shapes files need to be expanded as much as possible without
seriously undermining speed. The doors are up and down only. I really like the Elevator
doors in Dark Forces!

Dark Forces: Whats with this auto-aim bull**** If you're a lousy shot, you should pay
for it... Even in hard, it isn't that difficult to get through it. Marathon, in total carnage
is damn difficult to get through. It felt like a real accomplishment to finally beat it in
Total Carnage. (Anyone who thinks otherwise, Try the first level, Arrival, in Total
Carnage without cheats) No, I don't use ANY cheats. (Well, except for reading posts and
hints ;) ...)

NO GAME IS PERFECT!
Just my .02
