Heretic: possible to finish last level on "Black Plauges"?

I've gotten all the way to the last level (of scenario 3) at the "Black
Plauges Posses Thee" level of difficulty. 

However, I can't seem to kill the final wizard no matter how much damage I
do to him!  It wasn't any problem on the level below Black Plauge, but this
guy seems to be able to absorb a fiendish amount of damage.  

So, is it possible to kill him at this level?   Has anyone else done so?
Tell me it's possible!
