To do this DOOM2 must have complete set of textures from DOOM1 among some other details (such as different resource names in doom.wad, different episode arrangement, some special LineDef tags not supported). So if DOOM2.WAD in DOOM2 for OS/2 is bigger than in DOS version, it can be. Otherwise - not. > Heretic is based on the same engine with some modifications, so why do > you find it so hard that Doom/2 could also run Heretic WADs? Heretic engine has more differences from DOOM engine than you seem to think. Looking up/down, ambient sounds, ABSOLUTELY different monster's logic and graphics. In addition then, DOOM2 then has to have all textures/graphics of Heretic. DOOM2.WAD must be twice as bif as it really is. Actually, why I tell you all that? If you confuse some uneducated Doom/Heretic lover with that nonsense - I don't care. They deserve it. > Steve 'Rava' Lamb - PGP 1024/1DE8B981 | My thoughts, my actions are my own. > The Underground | I need not worry if others do not > Anime - RPG - Doors - Babylon 5 - etc| like them. Where this name come from? Alex.
