They seem to have discovered the -r switch on pkzip as the need4speed demo now has all 27M of necessary files in it. However, they forgot the -p switch so it unzips without any subdirectory structure into the root and guess what, it still doesn't work!!! You got a reply, how fortunate...maybe it took them two weeks to work out how to send e-mail.... You'd think that they'd actually try unzipping and installing their demos before making them available. p.s. If anybody out there has the correct directory structure for the need 4 speed demo (apparently on the root directory PC Gamer October CD-ROM) will they please do a dir /s > c:direct.txt and post the contents of this file here. BTW: the modem settings thing is pure shite as I (among others) downloaded these demos several times from a LAN connection on SuperJANET in the UK with the same problem every time. It's a pretty bad state of affairs when your prospective customers have to download your demos off sites other than your own website.Great advert EA! In the meantime lets hope that EA work this out and put a new nfsdemo.zip file on their webserver or post a batch file to correctly recreate the games' directory structure...no chance.
