You really need to try both for yourself, as it's a matter of taste. The Wingman Extreme has a larger, heavier base. You can jerk it around more without displacing it from your desk. The Thrustmaster FCS has sturdier buttons; a lot of people have broken the triggers on their Wingman Extremes. The FCS Pro is still sturdier and even more expensive. Button placement is slightly different, but I imagine you'd get used to either if you used it all the time. The Wingman Extreme is cheaper, as you've mentioned. I think the Wingman Extreme has a better stick feel, with good tactile response and a smooth motion, but this is definitely personal preference. Try both at a store. If you can't try them in a store, then buy one from a store that allows unconditional returns for 30 days, then get the other if you aren't happy. I bought and returned the Thrustmaster FCS and kept the Wingman Extreme, but tastes vary. -- David Ripton dri...@netcom.com Reston, VA
