In a previous article, klu...@students.uiuc.edu (Kyle Klukas) says: >For all you Doom/Heretic fans, Hexen (formerly Heretic II) will be out on >October 30 accoring to Raven/Id. Check out the Rumor Mill at >www.portal.com/~hleukart/rumors.html for details. The screenshots are >COOL. It looks like Id did it again (will put out another great game) :) For your information: Heretic and Hexen are primary Raven games. Since it's using an enhanced (or rather degraded) version of the Doom-engine, id might have helped out a bit too though. As for the screenshots: I don't get my hopes up. Heretic sucked... and it looks like Raven simply put in some more weapons and monsters. And just as in Heretic the wepons don't look convincing at all. I prefer a shotgun anytime! The monsters lack character somehow... and the caped crucaders I see during deathmatch are actually quite hilarious. id should never have given its engine to Raven... but well, what's done is done. And I don't *have* to play the game *grin* I do hope though that Strife makes a better use of id's Doom-engine. Greetz, RS
