OS/2 has a database, but it is a little old, since OS/2 Warp was released in November, and the database was probably last updated last summer. Win95, however, does not have a database, or at least it doesn't appear so. If it does, it is pretty good. In fact, that is the one area that I prefer Win95 over OS/2. Win95 will dynamically (how is that for big, technobable words) set the settings when you run. OS/2 is pretty dynamic too, but you have to tell it the maximum memory settings, whether hardware timer is needed or not (it is for games and multimedia), etc. Win95 seems to be able to make most of those for you. There are only a few programs (usually games) that need any tweaking. Oh, and by the way. I have been trying Win95 for a little while now, and I can't figure out how to get Wing Commander or Privateer to work. Come to think of it, those are the only two games I have tried that I can't get to work under OS/2 either. I think the culprit is that they both have some proprietary memory management, and I don't think either Win95 or OS/2 will run them. Just a guess. Kind of funny though, I can run both while multitasking under Linux (using DosEmu). Why is it that Linux can and Win95 and OS/2 can't? Funny. -- \_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\ Stephen Wilhelm Majors: Computer Science | MC Computer Mississippi College Engineering Physics | Support Team swil...@mc.edu Minor: Mathematics | sup...@mc.edu
