Ok. So far I've read more filler than substance regarding Win 95 as a gaming platform. I'm not an MS advocate, but let's face the facts people: OS/2 is losing out as an OS due to a lack of native software and bad marketing. Period. Microsoft has the support of over 90% of software companies, and there will be great games written for Win 95 (regardless of its merits/faults as an operating system). I've seen Pitfall 95 beta, and it is just as fast running in a full window as a DOS game. Not to mention all the new fancy hardware coming out, specifically designed for Win 95 (3d cards, etc.) Anyone can see that Win 95 is *mostly* propaganda to lure the marketbase, but the product itself is at least better than Win 3.1 8-). Now what could be better than that? (hears the sound of spit hitting the floor). I've used both Win '95 (build 950) and OS/2 Warp, and Win '95 is easier to install and use. OS/2 has better multitasking capabil- ities, (crash protection, separate configurations for each DOS session, etc.), but most home users would rather prefer a bigger software base and easier interface than having to customize everything. Enough of this bullshit; we'll just have to wait and see... Peace, Inder. -- Disclaimer: "And the meek shall inherit the earth."
