If you're really desperate, cheat.  Hold down ctrl+shift+alt, and type 'blorb' 
(w/o quotes)... that's invulnerabiltiy.  'cia' gives you unlimited ammo, 
'mightymouse' gives you unlimited jumpjets.  And the game WILL let you 
progress as if you didn't cheat, unlike the cheats inthe menu.
