I know because I'm working with it. It starts DOS (a new version, with many new "features" (bugs)) and then starts Windows95 as a shell. Win95 tries to hide this fact (and is very good in that) but if you look at the situation carfully and try you will find out that it starts your old DOS-Configs and if you use e.g. QEMM it doesn't start. In Win95, if you choose "Restart Comuter in MS-DOS mode" it just quits Windows and you can restart Windows typing win. If - in the start menu - you say bypass confuguration files (Shift-F5) you receive a DOS-Prompt and if you type win now it says HIMEM.SYS not loaded. But Win95 still is not worse than Win 3.xx, but it is not an OS, and it's only partially 32-bit oriented (Grafics is still 16-bit and VERY SLOW!!!) cu, Armin
