Well, I got bored with it halfway through. For the most part it's set in the same old surroundings that we already know, there are no surprises to the plot, and OpFor generally lacks the convincing cinematic style of the original. Just compare the boss fights. In HL, you killed the tentacles by launching a huge rocket carrying an orbital satellite. In OpFor, you kill a boss by wetting his feet with some poisonous waste. Now what do *you* think is more exciting? Right. That's symptomatic for OpFor's total lack of imagination. OpFor is *technically* good but you're just another marine blasting some more monsters in yet another sci-fi setting, as in so many Doom clones. And don't get me started on this inane crate climbing! -- Chris Nahr (christoph.nahr@uumail.xxde, remove xx to reply by e-mail) Please reply either on Usenet or by e-mail but not both!
