"Eugen": piss off. I'm responding to a lot of half-truths and inaccuracies put forth by a few OS/who? teamsters. Don't like it? Don't read this thread. : And BTW if OS/2 is so bad, then take a look at this msg. [clumsily quoted article nuked - get a newsreader!] Several points: (a) If you'd been paying any attention at all to this thread, you'd realize my main point has been (a) OS/2 is NOT better, overall, than Windows 95 (and certainly Windows NT), and that Windows 95 will be the dominant gaming platform (remember gaming?); (b) Microsoft having a version of Office for OS/2 (I doubt this, but it's possible) doesn't mean much. Microsoft is the #1 developer of apps for Windows chief competitor, the Macintosh. : Now you tell me Scott, if OS/2 is so bad as you make it sound(and man do : you ever go on) then how come Microsoft had made a MS Office for OS/2 then? I go on, huh? Tell you what - you go back and count the number of messages "morpheus", Steve Lamb, has contributed to this little thread, and then count mine. He's literally posted about 5 times more than me. : :-) I'll agree with Shadow, Microsoft makes great app's (Word and Excel and : others) but they just frankly suck at making OS's. Most everyone will agree : that OS/2 and WIN95 both have thier problem's. The way I see it Well, Microsoft was the original architect of OS/2. By your reasoning, then, OS/2 must suck as well. Right? I don't think OS/2 "sucks". I think it was a good product, and still has some positive aspects. I will maintain, though, that its days are severely numbered. Windows 95/NT will be the dominant PC OS for the next several years. Get used to it. : "You use whatever fucking OS you like and that's that" :-) Hey! Finally! A statement I can agree with.... Scott
