>>>OS/2 is DEAD in the marketplace, a victim of IBM's ineptitude. Admit >>>it! Across the board, Microsoft simply has better OSs and smarter >>>marketing and management. IBM's lost the desktop war, and the server >>>war is all but lost. Get used to it. > >>Smarter marketing, yes. Better OSs? You are obviously not a programmer >>or much of a user. > >Wrong on both parts, chum. > >OS/2 is dead. People who make their livings writing code (and I do) >are not going to choose to develop for a dead OS. I also make my living writing code. And I don't write code for OS/2 because there isn't much of a market for it - like you are so vehemently trying to put across. BUT, I've used both OSs to quite an extent and without any question about it - OS/2 is a by far superior operating system to Windows. I don't think OS/2 is going to die like you would want but it will not flourish, either. This is all due to the incredible marketing machine of Microsoft but it does not change the fact that Microsoft's operating systems are the most inferior OSs out there. If you have coded toward OS/2 and Windows or used it very much, you would have to agree.
