If you know anything about PUNK in Philadelphia PA USA
Burkhard Jaerisch of FLEX ( flex-m...@TELDA.NET ) seems
serious about
documenting the philly punk scene 1970's on ...

His site: http://www.fuzzlogic.com/flex/history/ says
hardcore but he seems
to be interested in all PUNK as I told him about the
legendary funk punk of the
STICKMEN and the art punks like Executive Slacks. Keep in
mind though the
emphasis is on punk not RobtHazard or the Hooters.

I've been in touch with him about it and he would like some
details about the scene;
dates, recordings etc. FACTS. For example did the Autistics
(Bobby Startup on
guitar) ever record anything? The Warm Jets? King of Siam?
When did Lee Paris
and Roid Kafka first broadcast Yesterday's Now Music Today?
During the 1980's
I was under the illusion that Philly had a great scene, with
world class acts like the
Stickmen, Bunnydrums, Executive Slacks etc. as well as a
supportive punk audience
for local punk bands that were on the "Get Off Our Backs"
compilation.

Philly punk deserves a place in the history books (or at
least on a web page)
consider how avant-garde YDI were , I mean check out how
many bands sound like
them today in the various rock genres.

So email him with Philly Punk in the subject heading if you
know anything.
