Problem z getTextExtent

Witam,

mam problem ze zwymiarowaniem pola tekstowego. Kiedy wszystko robie w
jednym klipie jest ok i taka f. dziala:

var my_fmt:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
with (my_fmt) {
    font = "Arial";
    bold = true;
}
var tx:String = "test";
var metrics:Object = my_fmt.getTextExtent(tx);

jednak po przerzuceniu tego do osobnego klipu i zaladowaniu go do
glownego poprzez:

_root.WLASCIWOSCI_TEKSTU.loadMovie("tekst_menu.swf","_root.WLASCIWOSCI_TEKSTU","POST");

glupieje i w Debugerze mam same 0 jako wartosci metrics

co moze byc przyczyna ? kod przeciez ten sam a zmienne lokalne
