Pod windows jest tak (wersja 1.1b2, ale pod starszymi polskimi wersjami 
chyba tez tam to widzialem):
Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice.org -> Memory -> OpenOffice.org 
Quickstarter (na dole)

Moze jest to tez pod linuchem?
