Coś tam w końcu wygrzebałem ;) Najprawdopodobniej winowajcą jest ESET 
Endpoint Antivirus (lub NOD32 Antivirus) i jego notatki które są 
dodawane do maili i kodowane w Windows-1250. Półśrodkiem jest 
zaznaczenie odpowiednich opcji w ESET "Tylko zainfekowane wiadomości" a 
nie "Wszystkie przeskanowane wiadomości".
Jeśli ktoś ma podobny problem i w/w obejście się sprawdzi to bardzo 
proszę o potwierdzenie na grupie.
