Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. 220 xxxxx.com ESMTP Sendmail 8.14.3/8.14.3; Sat, 27 Jun 2009 18:57:12 -0400 natomiast z innej maszyny nie moge sie polaczyc: C:\Documents and Settings\Marcin Gora>telnet xx.xxx.xxx.xxx 25 Connecting To xx.xxx.xxx.xxx...Could not open connection to the host, on port 25 : Connect failed To ze serwer jest podlaczony do sieci jest pewne, gdyz jestem zalogowany przez SSH. Zastawnawiam sie w czym przyczyna problemu. Czytalem o konfiguracji iptables, i wydaje mi sie ze powinno dzialac - wyglada to tak: # Generated by iptables-save v1.4.3.1 on Sat Jun 27 18:51:12 2009 *filter :INPUT ACCEPT [0:0] :FORWARD ACCEPT [0:0] :OUTPUT ACCEPT [72408:4477365] -A INPUT -m state --state RELATED,ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p icmp -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p tcp -m state --state NEW -m tcp --dport 21 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p tcp -m state --state NEW -m tcp --dport 993 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p tcp -m state --state NEW -m tcp --dport 25 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p tcp -m state --state NEW -m tcp --dport 995 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p tcp -m state --state NEW -m tcp --dport 443 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p tcp -m state --state NEW -m tcp --dport 22 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p tcp -m state --state NEW -m tcp --dport 80 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-host-prohibited -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 25 --tcp-flags FIN,SYN,RST,ACK SYN -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p udp -m udp --dport 25 -j ACCEPT -A FORWARD -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-host-prohibited COMMIT Niestety, oczywiscie nie dziala. W czym moze byc problem? Pozdrawiam, Marcin

Problem rozwiazany - sendmail przyjmowal polaczenia tylko z localhost, problem nie mial nic wspolnego z iptables. Wystarczylo zmienic ustawienia w sendmail.mc Pozdrawiam,
