Please can someone help me with samba?
I want to map a network directory from a winodws XP
on an Linux (debian woody)!!

How do I do that?
I tried to do it with NFS
But it seems not the right way to map a windows directory
So I installed Samba-Client

But I am spending so much time in this issue, can someone help me?
Please read this till the end and maybe you might see what I did wrong!!

The PC Shared a directory named Documents
With the laptop I could see this directory, I even mapped it with In windows
XP!

In my linux debian I type this
mount -t smbfs  //PC/Documents    /mnt/documents

Server:/# mount -t smbfs  //PC/Documents    /mnt/documents
Password:


Then it asks me a password!!
after I type the password of the root it gives me an error!!
What is this password??
With Windows xp I don't need a password to connect!!


I always get the same error only the number 277 differs sometimes!!
277: tree connect failed: ERRDOS - ERRnosuchshare (You specified an invalid
share name)
SMB connection failed
