Pingiem mozna sprawdzic dzialanie polaczenia do warstwy trzeciej
(sieciowej ISO/OSI). Wiec raczej trzebaby sprawdzic najpierw nizsze
warstwy, czyli  po prostu kabel sieciowy - czy jest dobrze wetkniety w
gniazdo zarowno w serwerze, hubach /switchach ktore sa "po drodze' jak
i w samej stacji roboczej.

Potem sprobuj pingnac serwer po IP, a nie po nazwie domeny. Jesli to
dziala, to znaczy, ze sa problemy z tlumaczeniem nazw (DNS)  (plik
/etc/hosts)

A z serwera mozesz pingnac jakis inny komputer?.  Chodzi o to,
