Witam
    W sumie dopiero zaczynam przygode z linuxem i mam maly problem na
poczatku... instalacja winmodemu pod linuxem. Posiadam modem Smart Cobra
Zoltrixa zassalem stery:
hsfmodem-6.03.00lnxt04032800full_k2.6.3_4mdk-1mdk.i586.rpm

    jednak po ich instalacji wykrywa mi modem lecz wyskakuje bald ze cos nie
wspolgra z systemem.... co jest grane? jakie polecacie stery pod ten modem?
No i jak go zainstalowac bo juz mi pomalu rece opadaja.... szukalem w sieci
czegos na ten temat lecz nic konretnego...   Pomocy

A konkretnie? 
A nie jest tak przypadkiem że te stery są kompilowane dla
kernela innego niż twój? MZ jak nie znalazłeś czegoś dla Ciebie, a
masz żródła jądra to zamiast szukać paczki poszperaj za źródłami
przeczytaj co tam piszą i sobie skompiluj moduł. 
Dla mojego lucenta będę to robił dziś po zmianie kernela.

nie wiem czy potrafie skomplikowa modul ... :)))

masz tar.gz ?
W środku powinna być dokumentacja :) Dla mojego lucenta:

 ./build_module
will compile drivers matching your current kernel.
Should there be a failure, first read DOCs/Compile_fail.txt
If ./build_module generates the drivers
    ./ltinst2
will install them, Lastly
    ./autoload
will prepare your system for demand loading of the drivers.
They are NOT loaded on boot up, but are autoloaded 
when modem usage is initiated
