W T_SQLu jest funkcja PATINDEX, która zwraca ci gdzie dany pattern
występuje, czyli dla
SELECT PATINDEX('%ę%', 'W tym tygodniu będzie padał deszcz.')
zwróci 17.
Pozostaje tylko kwestia rozpoznawania początku i końca wyrazu. Możesz
to zrobić podobnie lub np. za pomocą funkcji CHARINDEX.
