Hello again, XCommers, Well, it seems Microprose is doing the remake. Although I find it rather odd that they decide to announce it 3 weeks after I send them a proposal for me to develop the project, I have no choice but to leave it in their hands. They do, after all, own the lisence. Although I am rather upset that Star Blade will not get this great opportunity, I suppose it's the only thing I can do. Thank you for all of your help and support through these weeks, and please show Microprose the same curtesy you have shown me in your advices. I will not be checking into this group as often, so if you need me, please use E-Mail. "It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done before." You could make a clone :-) There aren't too many good turn-based squad games out there. X-Com is just a name anyway... right? And Microprose does not own the idea of the 'Greys' invading Earth. This way you could set your own timeline etc. as well. -- If you haveto ask how much it is you probably can't afford it. Reply by mail to jb...@jancomulti.com

It could allow editing of many, many aspects of the game, including the reseach tree...and offer a graphics makeover toboot, along the lines of what the poeple did with the XMEN makeover of Quake..or was that Doom?..I can't say I saw it (not my type of game). I know I'd buy it. Nick J

With the 1890's War of the Worlds coming out there would be a lot more interest. Already I have read complaints that some people want the 50's scene more. I'm supposed to be doing the hex and graphics part of a X-Com user patch myself, but I got Apoc and a bunch of other cool stuff so I'm sort of sidetracked. I did'nt write in to support your project because it would be best if I finished mine first. Its so depressing seeing an indy project die. If you make an add-on/expansion/PC for UFO you can make life a lot easier for yourself and at the same time put your ideas into play. Morgane
