If a new UFO(or remake) is made: How about when you intercept a UFO, you can tell the pilot which bit to aim for. You know, once you know where the engines are, you could blow them up and avoid buggering the rest of the craft. Or target the weapons first? Is this a stupid idea? -- Anthropod signing out...or am I?

I play Magic. I have a black and red deck. (UNDEFEATED). X-com. It's a world funded "Syndicate", designed to kick alien but, because the army are laim, and can't. I think it means: Extra terestrial earth defence, or somethin. My instruction books + boxes are up the attic, so I don't quote me on it.

Hi Roger,
When I read your comments, I had to laugh, because many
times i have thought along the same lines ( if not exactly). I remember
about eight or nine years ago i use to play a game called " Buck Rogers in
the 25th (or 20) century", I think. Well it was Buck Rogers something or
other. Too cut a long story short, its very much like x-com ( bar the
research ) you even fought it out in turn based mode, with shots depending
on reactions, accuracy and the type of weapon you were using. It was 'ace'
, but when you intercepted a alien ship ( just like in x-com ) instead of
just randomly attacking it you stopped right in front of it, and then
choose which part of the ship to fire at and then chose with what weapon
you'd like to use. It was ace, I use to cripple the ships life support and
its wings so they couldn't escape, then I just boarded the ship and then the
turn based fight began.. If it wasn't for this game I would never have got
into the turn based mode of playing. Boy I miss that game and would love
to play it again, but, like i said that was eight or nine years ago, and was
made for the Sega-megadrive. Oh well at least ive got X-COM.

It was made by SSI and is using the same engine then their ad&d games. You can prolly still find it on some abandonware site (check http://surf.to/roa )
