Okies, first thing. Both Enemy unknown and Terror from the deep crash a lot during the battles, tftd so much that it cant even be played at all. Ive found that in tftd there are several places on the map where it will ALWAYS crash if you try to move a character there, its almost unavoidable. Xcom Apocolypse. I try to start the game and all i get is a _| changing colours. For dosbox users. In a nutshell, Im sure by now I've done it the right way but it doesnt do anything at all, not even any error messages. Now, I dont really know much about dosbox except it makes me want to pull my hair out. Now first thing, I get two windows. One of them I cant type in and I cant drag programs into any of them (like you can in cmd.exe) Now ive tried it all in the little window, but whats the big window behind it for? I cant get the game to run with what I have. I either get an error message or when I do it the way I think is the right way it doesnt do anything at all. You can see my frustratin. I've deleated these games 3 times now in fits of anger and downloaded them again because I just want to play them so bad. Can anyone help?

There's an emulation window, in which everything happens. The other one is where DosBox shows its own status, for instance at which speed it runs. > I cant get the game to run with what I have. Does the cursor still blink? Do you get a new prompt? > You can see my frustratin. ty for the help. Im not sure what you mean by OS. I am in windows 2000. the error message is 'incorrect file name' so my assumption is that when nothing happens at all that is when i did the correct file name. I know all that mount stuff. I havnt been able to play any games at all in dosbox so I dont know what armegeddon would do. Thanks though :)

Have you made sure your sound settings are correct? > I havnt been able to play any games at all in dosbox so I dont know what > armegeddon would do. > Thanks though :) You're welcome. One thing you might try is to pick up an old 486 or pentium 1 and installing DOS on it. I stil run a DOS machine (multibooted with W98) on a 100MHz computer, and it runs both quite well. They are dirt cheap nowadays.
