Having played and been dissapointed by Aftermath I have gone back to TFTD.
However I am having problems running it. I am on a pretty modern system (Win
XP, Athlon 2400+, Radeon 9700, 1 Gig DDR Ram, Audigy sound) and the game
runs at a million miles an hour! Also, the mouse pointer seems quite
unresponsive. How do I slow the speed of the game down to a normal rate?

Also, are there any good fan websites out there?

Thanks!

Byron's site (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~xcom) always comes highly
recommended.

Go into your BIOS and start disabling caches.

Get the collector's edition? Or use the dosbox emulator with your (what
sounds like) DOS version of the game.
